Hello,
I am a qualified German to English translator, based in Gloucestershire. I grew up in Switzerland in an English-speaking family and moved to the UK in 1991 to attend university. Having British/Swiss dual nationality – and with family in both countries –
I consider myself bicultural as well as bilingual.

Continuing Professional Development
Keeping in touch with other professionals through live events and online groups is invaluable for a freelance translator. Through my involvement with three ITI networks as well as the Society of Authors Translators Association I benefit from a lively exchange of knowledge and ideas, despite working from home.
As a qualified member of the ITI, I also complete at least 30 hours of continuing professional development each year. My CPD typically consists of a broad range of activities, from translation software tutorials and webinars through to workshops, conferences and literary fairs.
